Leucophenga acantha Huang & Chen View in CoL , sp. nov.

( Figs. 2G, 2H View FIGURE 2 , 6D–F View FIGURE 6 , 9K View FIGURE 9 , 14C, 14D View FIGURE 14 , 23 View FIGURE 23 )

Diagnosis. This species is most similar to L. brevitabulata sp. nov. in having the pleura with a brown, longitudinal stripe above ( Fig. 6F, O View FIGURE 6 ), and the wing clouded distally ( Figs. 2G View FIGURE 2 , 3C View FIGURE 3 ), but can be distinguished from the latter in

having the abdominal 3rd tergite not shortened in males ( Fig. 9K View FIGURE 9 ); paramere distally curved dorsad ( Fig. 23C View FIGURE 23 ); aedeagus laterally with two long, acute, lapped, distally crossed processes ( Fig. 23D View FIGURE 23 ).

Description. Ocellar triangle dark brown, with ca. 2 or 3 setae above ocellar setae. Frons brownish ( Fig. 6D View FIGURE 6 ). Pedicel brownish yellow; first flagellomere yellow ( Fig. 6D View FIGURE 6 ). Clypeus entirely brownish. Palpus brownish ( Fig. 6D View FIGURE 6 ). Mesonotum mostly brownish yellow ( Fig. 6E View FIGURE 6 ). Postpronotal lobe yellow ( Fig. 6F View FIGURE 6 ). Acrostichal setulae in ca. 12–14 irregular rows ( Fig. 6E View FIGURE 6 ). Scutellum brownish yellow, dark brown laterally, yellow around apical scutellar setae ( Fig. 6E View FIGURE 6 ). Katepisternum and mesopleuron mostly yellow ( Fig. 6F View FIGURE 6 ). Wing ( Fig. 2G, H View FIGURE 2 ): Costal vein between R 2+3 and R 4+5 distally with ca. 5–7 peg-like spinules on ventral surface; R 4+5 and M 1 slightly divergent distally; halter yellowish, usually with brownish patches at stem and knob ( Fig. 6F View FIGURE 6 ). Abdominal tergites brown, 2nd tergite yellow to brownish medially and yellow laterally, 3rd tergite yellow to brownish anteriorly and laterally; 4th and 5th tergites yellow anteriorly in males ( Fig. 9K View FIGURE 9 ). Male terminalia: Epandrium lacking pubescence, with ca. 7 setae near posterior margin per side ( Fig. 23A View FIGURE 23 ). Cercus lacking pubescence ( Fig. 23A View FIGURE 23 ). Surstylus pubescent ( Fig. 23A View FIGURE 23 ). Paramere with ca. 7 sensilla distally ( Fig. 23C View FIGURE 23 ).
