Leucophenga helvipecta Huang & Chen View in CoL , sp. nov.

( Figs. 3H View FIGURE 3 , 7M–O View FIGURE 7 , 11A–C View FIGURE 11 , 15I, 15J View FIGURE 15 , 31 View FIGURE 31 )

Diagnosis. This species is most similar to L. forcipula sp. nov. in having the wing entirely hyaline ( Fig. 3E, H View FIGURE 3 ), the colour patterns of abdominal tergites in females ( Figs. 10H View FIGURE 10 , 11C View FIGURE 11 ), the shape and pubescence of epandrium, cercus, and surstylus ( Figs. 28A View FIGURE 28 , 31A View FIGURE 31 ), and the shape of paramere ( Figs. 28C View FIGURE 28 , 31C View FIGURE 31 ), but can be distinguished from the latter in having the abdominal 3rd tergite not shortened in males ( Fig. 11A, B View FIGURE 11 ); aedeagus laterally with a long process at same its height ( Fig. 31D View FIGURE 31 ).

Description. Ocellar triangle brownish, with ca. 2 setae above ocellar setae. Frons brownish anteriorly, brownish yellow posteriorly ( Fig. 7M View FIGURE 7 ). Pedicel dark yellow; first flagellomere yellow ( Fig. 7M View FIGURE 7 ). Clypeus entirely dark yellow. Palpus yellow ( Fig. 7M View FIGURE 7 ). Mesonotum mostly dark yellow ( Fig. 7N View FIGURE 7 ). Postpronotal lobe yellow ( Fig. 7O View FIGURE 7 ). Acrostichal setulae in ca. 12–14 irregular rows ( Fig. 7N View FIGURE 7 ). Scutellum entirely brownish yellow ( Fig. 7N View FIGURE 7 ). Pleura with a brownish yellow to brownish, indistinct longitudinal stripe above ( Fig. 7O View FIGURE 7 ). Katepisternum and mesopleuron mostly yellow ( Fig. 7O View FIGURE 7 ). Wing ( Fig. 3H View FIGURE 3 ): Costal vein between R 2+3 and R 4+5 distally with ca. 4–6 peglike spinules on ventral surface; R 4+5 and M 1 nearly parallel distally; halter usually yellowish to yellow, sometimes with a brownish yellow patch at knob ( Fig. 7N View FIGURE 7 ). Abdominal tergites dark brown to dark brown, 2nd tergite mostly yellow, 3rd to 5th tergites usually yellow submedially and sublaterally, 4th and 5th tergites with yellow patches submedially or sublaterally in males ( Fig. 11A, B View FIGURE 11 ), 4th and 5th tergites mostly brown in females ( Fig. 11C View FIGURE 11 ). Male terminalia: Epandrium with ca. 4 setae near posterior margin per side ( Fig. 31A View FIGURE 31 ). Hypandrium with 1 sensillum ( Fig. 31B View FIGURE 31 ). Paramere slender, narrow basally, with ca. 5 sensilla subdorsally ( Fig. 31C View FIGURE 31 ).
