Distribution in Iran. Guilan ( Wagner 1957, the subspecies not indicated), Kerman (Linnavuori 2009), Khorasan ( Linnavuori & Modarres Awal 1999), West Azarbaijan (Linnavuori 2009), Iran (no locality cited) ( Kerzhner & Josifov 1999).
General distribution and hosts. Irano-Turanian subspecies, collected on Chenopodium sp. ( Linnavuori & Modarres Awal 1999; Linnavuori 2009), the subspecies Orthotylus (M.) fieberi punctipes (Reuter, 1895) being known from Israel, Jordan, North and tropical Africa and Saudi Arabia ( Kerzhner & Josifov 1999; Aukema et al. 2013).
