1 Postgonites with smooth ventral edge ( Fig. 3B ); sternite 5 almost as long as wide ( Fig. 2A ); hypandrium with convergent sides and acute to slightly rounded apex ( Fig. 2D )....................................... Aldrichiopa coracella (Aldrich)

- Postgonites with finely serrate ventral edge ( Figs. 6B, E ); sternite 5 broad, more than 1.5x as broad as long ( Fig. 6A ); hypandrium parallel-sided to slightly convergent and with slightly rounded to truncated apex ( Fig. 6D ).................................................................................
