Elachista planicara Kaila, 1998b: 57 View in CoL . Type locality: Russia, Kuriles, Kunashir Island ( Kaila 1998b: 57). Holotype ♀, in SZMN.

Subgenus: Elachista View in CoL ; saccharella species group.

Distribution: Palearctic. Japan, Russia (E. Russia).

Larval host plant(s): Sasa senanensis (Franch. & Savat.) Rehd. , Sasa sp., Sasamorpha borealis (Hack.) Nakai , Pleioblastus sp., ( Poaceae ),? Carex morrowii Boott (Cyperaceae) ( Sugisima & Kaila 2005).
