NOTES

This species is known from New Zealand, Tasmania, Macquarie Island, and southern South America. Often associated with calcareous springs and seeps ( Spence & Ramsay 2019). See comments under Bryum platypyllum about the confusion regarding B. uvidum . A southern hemisphere/southern amphipacific temperate species.
