NOTES

A distinctive Falklands Islands endemic characterized by broadly ovate to suborbicular concave leaves, a weak costa, and dis-tinct unistratose limbidium. The presence of Rhodobryum -like laminal areolation and inflated red-pink subalar cells on some leaves suggests an affinity with Ptychostomum subg. Cladodium .
