Type species: Azata idriasaria Walker, 1860 .
Taxonomic status. The identity of the genus is not established. It is based on a female specimen lacking locality data, see Holloway ([1994]: 157) who noted its similarity to a specimen of Semiothisa from Jamaica housed in the Natural History Museum, London.
