Syntypi: “ Biscutella petraea Jord., de Digne (pied ouest), 937 d 60, mj 22 avril 1861 ˮ (handwriting) (LY0006172!); “ Biscutella petraea Jord. foliis longioribus, de Digne (le n° 1), (mj 1859), 337 du sem. de 1863, mj jard. 28 avril 1863 ˮ (handwriting) (LY0006192!); “ Biscutella petraea Jord. de Digne (le n°2) (mj 1 er juin 1859), 339 du semis de 1862, mj jard 28 avril 1863 ˮ (handwriting) (MPU023102!).

Note: according to the notes and seedling notebooks, there was a biscutelle from Digne in the garden in 1859 grown from a gathering made in 1858: it conforms to the lectotype. Then A. Jordan made two sowings during “premiers jours de septembreˮ 1859: n° 937, which conforms to the first syntype, from “pied ouestˮ already grown in the garden, and n° 939 from “pied estˮ. In 1861 Jordan writes about n° 937: “paraît celle qui reste du pied spontanéˮ. Then among the “graines semées pour 1862ˮ there are two sowings of biscutelles from Digne, n° 337 and 339, respectively designated as “n°1ˮ and “n°2ˮ, which conform to the two last syntypes. On a purely nomenclatural level, any of these gathering could be chosen, but it is taxonomically better to select n° 6171 (cf. supra “Material and Methodsˮ). In 1864, the author was continuing his observations on his sowings.
