Tomarus selanderi ( Cartwright, 1959)

Distribution. Mexico ( Endrödi 1969) in the states of Colima, Guerrero, Jalisco, Nayarit, Sinaloa, and Sonora ( Ratcliffe et al. 2013). Here it is reported as NEW STATE RECORDS from Michoacán and Oaxaca.

Specimens Examined. MEXICO: Michoacán, Jungapeo, Bosque mixto, 15.ix.2004, Col: Noé Perez Sotelo [1♀, CAFESI] . Oaxaca, Pinotepa Nacional , 22.x.1989, Col: F.A. Noguera & A. Rodr´ıguez [16, IEXA] .

Comments. Tomarus selanderi is distributed along the Pacific Coast of Mexico. Although its southernmost known locality was Acapulco (Guerrero), no records were known from Michoacán.The record from Oaxaca extends the known distribution of the species about 200 km south.
