Type material. Holotype ♂ ( MHBU), CHINA: Chongqing Municipality: Wanzhou District, Wang Erbao Nature Reserve (30°39’38.71”N, 108°43’36.86”E, 1180 m a.s.l.), 25.10.2020, leg. L. Wang. GoogleMaps

Etymology. This specific name is derived from the Latin word “ distortus ”, referring to the retrolateral tibial apophysis with distorted base; adjective.

Diagnosis. This new species resembles O. shunhuangshana Mu, Jin & Zhang, 2022 in having similarly shaped bulb, embolus and conductor, but can be recognized by: 1) retrolateral tibial apophysis long, base distorted, curved down and tapering abruptly at middle parts, tip transverse (vs short and dagger-shaped RTA, cf. Fig. 11B–C View FIGURE 11 and fig. 13B–C in Mu et al. [2022]), 2) dorsal tibial apophysis flexed at base (vs nearly straight at base, cf. Fig. 11D View FIGURE 11 and fig. 13D in Mu et al. [2022]), 3) tegular apophysis arc-shaped in ventral view (vs triangular, cf. Fig. 11C View FIGURE 11 and fig. 13C in Mu et al. [2022]).

Description. Male (Holotype): total length 2.69, carapace 1.30 long, 1.06 wide; abdomen 1.25 long, 0.95 wide. Eye sizes and interdistances:AME 0.06, ALE 0.07, PME 0.04, PLE 0.09; AME–AME 0.03, AME–ALE 0.02, ALE– ALE 0.16, PME–PME 0.06, PME–PLE 0.07, PLE–PLE 0.28, ALE–PLE 0.05. EAW 0.40, CRW 0.65, EAW/CRW 0.62, CRW/CW 0.61. MOA 0.18 long, anterior width 0.15, posterior width 0.16. CH 0.10, CH /AME 1.67. Labium 0.16 long, 0.20 wide. Sternum 0.77 long, 0.72 wide. Leg measurements: Ⅰ 3.86 (1.01, 0.46, 1.06, 0.85, 0.48), II 3.47 (0.92, 0.42, 0.92, 0.74, 0.47), III 3.18 (0.68, 0.35, 0.70, 0.91, 0.54), IV 4.18 (0.98, 0.37, 1.06, 1.05, 0.72). Spination: femora I–IV d 1, I pl 3, II pl 2, tibiae Ⅰ pv 6 rv 6, II pv 6 rv 5, metatarsi Ⅰ pv 4 rv 3, II pv 4 rv 3.

Coloration. Carapace yellowish brown, markings with irregularly corrugated edge. Chelicerae, endites, and labium yellow-brown. Sternum slightly longer than wide, shield-shaped. Legs yellow, with black markings near tip of femora and tibiae. Abdomen gray, with two triangular black spots beside dorsal scutum, and four light transverse stripes posteriorly ( Fig. 10A–B View FIGURE 10 ).

Palp as in Figs 11A–D View FIGURE 11 , 12A–D View FIGURE 12 . Femoral apophysis strongly raised. Patella strong, as long as tibia, with a apophysis anterior. Ventral tibia swollen; prolateral tibial apophysis distinct; retrolateral tibial apophysis long, with distorted base, tapering abruptly from middle to tip, terminal part bent at almost right angle and directed dorsally; dorsal tibial apophysis long, base S-shaped, tip slightly curved. Tegulum wider than cymbium, tegular apophysis small, arc-shaped. Sperm duct distinct, U-shaped. Embolus thin, transverse, with wide base and pointed tip ( Figs 11B–C View FIGURE 11 , 12B–C View FIGURE 12 ). Conductor thin, flake-like, extending along with embolus.
