Material examined. Panama, Bocas del Toro: 1 ovigerous ♀ (cl 2.4 mm), FLMNH UF 47316 View Materials , Isla Popa, lat. 9.23055 / long. -82.121544, epibiont growth on mangrove roots, coll. R. Lasley, 05.vi.2017 .

Remarks. The Panamanian specimen agrees in all aspects with the description and illustrations provided by Holthuis (1951). The species was described from Bonaire and later recorded from Florida (off Cape San Blas) and Mexico (Yucatán) ( Santana-Moreno et al. 2013). The ovigerous female from Bocas del Toro represents the first record of the species for the Caribbean coast of Panama.
