Etymology. This new species is named in honor of Yo–Yo Ma, the world’s greatest living cellist.

Differential diagnosis. Krantziaulonastus yoyomi sp. nov. is morphologically similar to K. lonchurus Skoracki described from the Scaly-breasted Munia Lonchura punctulata (L.) ( Passeriformes : Estrildidae ) from China ( Skoracki 2011). In females of both species the medial and lateral branches of the peritremes are represented by a similar number of chambers and setae d2 are more than 3.5 times longer than d1. This new species is distinguishable from K. lonchurus by the following characters: in females of K. yoyomi sp. nov. the infracapitulum and stylophore are sparsely punctate, the length ratios of setae d2:c1 and f2:f1 are 1:2 and 2.5:1, respectively, and the length of setae e2 and f2 are 15 and 25, respectively. In females of K. lonchurus, the infracapitulum and stylophore are apunctate, the length ratios of setae d2:c1 and f2:f1 are 1:1.1–1.4 and 4.5–6:1, respectively, and the length of setae e2 and f2 are 80–100 and 90–95, respectively.
