4. Pseudosubhimalus lachungensis View in CoL sp. nov. Meshram & Niranjana

Male: Ochraceous yellow, crown, pronotum and scutellum pale yellow, with two brown spots on anterior margin of crown. Compound eyes black. Face yellow with irregular transverse brown stripes. Forewings pale yellow with hyaline venation ( Fig. 8 View FIGURES 1-16 ). Head including eyes 1.09x width of pronotum ( Fig. 16 View FIGURES 1-16 ), in dorsal view obliquely rounded in front, crown length 0.36x width across eyes; face length 1.01x width of face. Ocelli near anterior margin of crown and distance between eye and ocellus equal to diameter of ocellus ( Fig. 12 View FIGURES 1-16 ). Pronotum 0.5x as long as width and 0.8x length of scutellum.

Male Genitalia: Pygofer in lateral view ( Fig. 36 View FIGURES 36-41 ) as long as broad, moderately produced with rounded caudodorsal margin, macrosetae confined to posterior 1/3 rd, dorsal and postero-ventral margin with serrations. Valve triangular ( Fig. 37 View FIGURES 36-41 ). Subgenital plate longer than wide ( Fig. 37 View FIGURES 36-41 ), with 7-9 submarginal uniseriate macrosetae, long fine hair like setae along lateral margin. Style longer than wide basally ( Fig. 38 View FIGURES 36-41 ), preapical lobe feebly developed, apophysis long, slender, with blunt apex, 1/3 rd of total style length. Connective Y-shaped ( Fig. 41 View FIGURES 36-41 ); stem narrowed, as long as arms. Aedeagus, in lateral view ( Figs. 39 View FIGURES 36-41 ) with shaft uniformly wide through most of length, abruptly broadened at subapical region, tapering at apex with pair of subapical projections. In dorsal view, aedeagus with four processes, one pair divergent at apex, subapical pair curved downwards, both pairs with crenulations on lateral margins, subapical processes 1/3 rd of total aedeagus length in dorsal view ( Fig. 40 View FIGURES 36-41 ). Gonopore apical.

Measurement (mm): Total Length: 7.1; Crown Length: 0.5; Width of Head: 1.9; Width of Pronotum: 2.4.

Etymology: The epithet refers to the type locality, Lachung.

Type Material: Holotype ³ INDIA: Sikkim, Lachung , 27.6891° N, 88.7430° E, 05.v.2011, sweep net, N. M. Meshram Coll GoogleMaps . Paratype 1³, same data as on holotype ( NPC) GoogleMaps .

Remarks: P. lachungensis sp. nov. is unique and differs from all the other species of Pseudosubhimalus by the aedeagus with four processes, with both pairs having crenulations on the lateral margins.
