Mavromoustakis ( USNM); 1 female, same data as preceding but 10 February 1947 ( USNM); 3 males, 1 female, same data as preceding but 23 December 1939 ( USNM); 1 male, Yermasoyia River plain, January 1965, G. Mavromoustakis ( USNM). ALGERIA: 1 male, Tamanrasset, 28 February 1980, CL 1685, J. T. Polhemus ( USNM ex JTPC); 1 male, Ouarsenis [Ouarsenis Range, northwestern Algeria], Region du Mont , leg. Discussion. This species is easily recognized by its strongly contrasting color pattern, consisting of a predominantly black head, pronotum and scutellum, and predominantly pale white hemelytra with a broad, black transverse fascia behind the claval apex ( Fig. 7 View FIGURES 7, 8 ). The foreleg possesses five stout spines along its posterior margin ( Fig. 9 View FIGURE 9 ), which are proportionally longer than those present in L. gakalae .
