Materials examined. COLOMBIA • 1♀, 8.2 mm; Meta, Villavicencio, Vereda Buenavista, “El Porvenir” Farm ; 04°08′49.33″N, 073°41′05.32″W; 1147 m a.s.l.; 25 Apr. 2019; Cárdenas Johann and Parada Jenny leg.; riparian forest; Bvbrt 7; UPTC-In-00041 GoogleMaps .

Identification. This species can be distinguished from other Bdelyrus species by having a strong and dense scoring throughout the body. The females are moderately carapaced towards the anterior part of the body and the apex of the clypeus margined ( Cook 1998).

Distribution. This specimen is known only from the record used for the description, located in Villavicencio, between 100–350 m a.s.l. ( Cook 1998; Medina and Pulido 2009). In the area, one individual was recorded throughout the sampling and was collected in the riparian forest relics between 1000–1100 m a.s.l.
