Euryptychus heterocerus (Say, 1836)
This rarely collected eucnemid species is known from Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wisconsin ( Otto and Karns 2017). A new state record is confirmed for Connecticut. One specimen was taken from a cross-vane panel trap baited with Trichoferus lure. One specimen was taken from a Lindgren funnel trap placed in Connecticut.
