( Figure 56 and 70C View FIGURE 70 )

Specimen examined: Holotype: Thailand: Doi Pui , Chiang Mai Prov., N. Thailand, 2.–4.VII. 1979, W. Suzuki leg. (♀, RGCM).

Measurements: (1 specimen measured) Total length: 10.2mm, elytral length: 6.8mm, elytral width: 2.8mm, pronotal length: 2.3mm, pronotal width: 2.0mm, head width: 2.0mm.

Head: Red-brown, cranium vested with short yellow setae, interstices about 1.5 times diameter of punctures; interocular depressions strongly developed, posterior part of clypeus light red-brown, anterior margin concave, posterior margin convex, with large punctation and a few long setae laterally, smooth centrally; ventral part wrinkled, smooth centrally; antennae light red-brown, lighter then head capsule, female A4 longer than A3, antennomeres gradually decreasing in length from A4 towards A8, female antennae reaching base of pronotum when laid back; gular sutures parallel, gular process broad.

Thorax: Average pronotal length:width ratio 1.1:1; pronotum yellow, red-brown laterally, vested with short yellowish setae, pronotal arch punctured indistinctly laterally, dorsal punctation dense, interstices smaller than one diameter of punctures, punctation on pronotum proper larger, interstices smaller than diameter of punctures; prosternum red-brown, smooth; mesosternum red-brown, margins darkened, vested with yellowish setae; metasternum darker red-brown, vested with fine setae, punctation weak, interstices about one diameter of punctures; transverse sulcus on anterior part of mesosternum and mesepisternum distinct; anterior metasternal process with two small, ventrally projecting, edges; scutellum round, colored like surrounding elytra.

Elytra: Average length:width ratio 2.4:1; basal two thirds dorsally surrounded red-brown, one red-brown spot on each elytra in basal half, one narrow red-brown postmedian fascia, lateral margins yellow, subcutaneous structures visible through lighter areas, vested with short decumbent setae, punctation very small, striae 1 and 2 obsolete behind basal quarter of elytra, striae 3 to 9 covering entire surface except extreme apex, striae 10 weak or obsolete, interstices between striae about one diameter of punctures, interstices within striae smaller than one diameter of punctures; punctation not rasp-like, carination absent.

Legs: Yellow, tarsi slightly darker, tarsal pulvilli pale; metatibiae more or less straight, anterior and posterior face of each tibia carinate, carination red-brown, distinct, especially on metatibia.

Abdomen: Ventrites light red-brown, interstices irregularly, female ventrite 5 slightly with broad Vshaped slight emargination.

Distribution: Thailand.

Seasonal occurrence: Collected in July.

Etymology: The specific epithets, supra and flaveo, Latin adjectives meaning on the surface and goldenyellow respectively, refer to the color of the pronotum.
