Wiedemannia (Eucelidia) zetterstedti differs by the completely olive-brown scutum, minute acrostichals extending to second pair of dorsocentrals, 5 pairs of dorsocentrals without intermediate setae interspersed among primary setae, fore femur with 2–3 strong bristles at the tip, fore coxae with 1–3 erect projecting setae, longer than surrounding setae and longer than width of coxa; clasping cercus bilobed, mittenshaped.

Remarks. This species was noted by Joost (1981) from the Sochi River ( Russia, Krasnodarskiy Territory), but in the Catalogue of Palaearctic Diptera it was mistakenly indicated from the Georgian territory. Therefore W. (E.) zetterstedti is noted from the territories of Georgia and Abkhazia for the first time. This common species is known from mountain rivers of the Caucasus from elevations between 288–2100 m a.s.l. and is active from April to July.
