Identification. This species is characterized by having erect and elongated aereal stems; petioles almost as long as or slightly longer than blades, drying greenish, ovatecordate to sagittate blades with sharp posterior lobes; spathe tube greenish on both surfaces and spadices with yellowish-orange female portion.
Distribution and ecology. Endemic to Panama. In the study area, it has only been reported on the river or streams banks, in the semideciduous lowland forest, between 100 and 300 m.
