Type materials. Holotype . Male, Shiqian , Guizhou Province, 10. August. 2011, coll. Qiongzhang Song and Fangling Xu. Paratype. 1 male, the same data as holotype .

Description. Length. Male 3.8mm.

Body yellowish ( Figs 18, 19, 20 View FIGURES 18–34 ). Median length of vertex more than 1/2 width between eyes. Crown about as wide as pronotum. Coronal suture brownish, almost reaching apex of vertex, eyes brownish ( Figs 18, 19 View FIGURES 18–34 ). Eyes brownish, middle length of vertex more than 1/2 width of eyes ( Figs 18, 21 View FIGURES 18–34 ). Face yellowish, convex in lateral view, without patches ( Figs 19, 20, 22, 23 View FIGURES 18–34 ). Pronotum with irregular yellow stripes and a big median yellow patch at anterior margin, remainder yellow ( Figs 18, 21 View FIGURES 18–34 ). Scutellum almost white yellowish, scutoscutellar sulcus brownish ( Fig 21 View FIGURES 18–34 ).

Basal sternal abdominal apodemes reaching middle of segment IV ( Fig 26 View FIGURES 18–34 ). Male pygofer triangular, ventral margin involute and bearing ca. 3 rigid microsetae, posterior margin with 5–6 rigid microsetae, ventral pygofer appendage short, tapered ( Figs 27, 29 View FIGURES 18–34 ), dorsal bridge less than 1/3 length of pygofer ( Fig 29 View FIGURES 18–34 ). Subgenital plate elongate, gradually narrowed from base apicad, bearing ca. 40 group B setae, with 11 group C setae arranged in two rows, few group D setae, pigmented apically ( Fig 28 View FIGURES 18–34 ). Paramere slender, with 7 setae subapically followed by 5 micro-teeth ( Fig 30 View FIGURES 18–34 ). Aedeagus robust, beyond ventral margin of pygofer side, preatrium short, dorsal apodeme undeveloped, shaft curved to dorsal view and tubular, with base broad then gradually narrowed in lateral view and a longitudinal keel and dorsally on shaft ( Figs 31, 32 View FIGURES 18–34 ). Anal tube process elongated, apex pointed ( Fig 33 View FIGURES 18–34 ). Connective longer than wide, broad at base ( Fig 34 View FIGURES 18–34 ).

Remarks. Okubasca paracalvata mainly differs from O. calva t a by aedeagus shaft with longitudinal keel and dorsally on shaft; anterior margin of vertex rounded ( Fig 21 View FIGURES 18–34 ).

Etymology. The species name refers to the similarity of the aedeagus to Okubasca calvata .
