Feltria Koenike, 1892 View in CoL
Remarks. The family is monotypic ( Gerecke 2012) and there are no known differences in larval morphology of the three European subgenera Azugofeltria Motas & Tanasachi, 1948 , Feltria Koenike, 1892 and Feltriella K. H. Viets, 1930 . To date, no comprehensive and detailed description of Feltria larvae exists, most fragmentary descriptions refer to species from the subgenus Feltria (see below).
Preliminary genus diagnosis (compiled from Smith 1976; Martin 2006; Smith et al. 2009 and new data): Dp large, often covering nearly the entire idiosoma (in unengorged specimens), Dp bearing four pairs of setae, surface of Dp distinctly striated. Venter on each side with coxal plates I separate or fused medially with fused coxal plates II and III. Sclerites of the coxal plates various. CXIII rounded posteriorly. The suture line of CXII+III often distinct laterally and obliterated medially. CXIII bearing C4, CXI bearing C1 and C2, C3 lacking. Expp small and bearing setae E1 and E2. Setae V1–V3 simple and fine. Legs five-segmented and distinctly striated, claws long and thin. Leg setation as follows I-L: 1se, 7se, 4se+1so, 7se+2so, 10se+1so+1eu, II-L: 1se, 7se, 4se+1so, 8se+2so, 11se+1so+1eu, III-L: 1se, 6se, 5se, 7se+1so, 11se.
