Protzia eximia (Protz, 1896)

Remarks. Protzia eximia is the only species of the Hydryphantidae in the stream. As with all hydryphantoid larvae, the larva of P. eximia is characterized by the presence of six leg segments. This family character separates this larva from all other species presented here.

Former descriptions of larval P. e xi m i a were published by Jones (1967), Böttger (1972c), Ullrich (1976), Biesiadka & Cichocka (1984) and Martin (2000, 2006).
