Chlaenius (Chlaeniellus) corrosulus Bates,

1892 comb. n.

C. (incertae sedis) corrosulus Bates, 1892: 319 View in CoL

Chlaenius (Chlaeniellus) nigrosuturatus Mandl, 1978 View in CoL syn. n.

Since its description by Bates (1892: 319), Chlaenius corrosulus has remained incertae sedis. Species was known by single female, from: “Teinzo / Birmania / Fea, Maggio 1886 ”, the Type deposited in MNHN. Examination of a database of photographs of type specimens, kindly provided by Erich Kirschenhofer, made it possible to establish an undeniable identity with another littleknown species, i.e. Chlaenius (Chlaeniellus) nigrosuturatus Mandl, 1978

( Figs. 6–7 View Figs ). Additional data about species are available in Anichtchenko & Kirschenhofer (2017). New synonymy is proposed here.
