Type locality: Trinidad and Tobago, Pointe-à-Pierre city, Guaracara ( Brennan and Jones 1960). Type host: Saccopteryx bilineata (Temminck, 1838) ( Chiroptera : Emballonuridae ). Type depository: USNM (holotype and paratypes), FMNH (paratypes), NHMUK (paratypes) and SAM (paratypes). Panama records. This species reported from S. bilineata ( Chiroptera : Emballonuridae ) in Pacora, Panama and Bocas del Toro Provinces ( Brennan and Jones 1960 ; Brennan and Yunker 1966). Other records. Bolivia ( Brennan 1970a), Colombia ( Brennan and Jones 1960 ; Marinkelle and Grose 1981), Costa Rica ( Webb and Loomis 1977), Mexico (Loomis 1969; Webb and Loomis 1977), Peru ( Brennan and Jones 1960 ; Brennan and Jones 1961a), Surinam ( Brennan 1970b ; Brennan and Bronswijk 1975), Trinidad and Tobago ( Brennan and Jones 1960), Venezuela ( Brennan and Reed 1975).
