Type species. Ecnomina spinosa Kimmins 1953 (in Mosely & Kimmins 1953), by original designation.

The Australasian genus Ecnomina is diverse and widespread in Australia, with 36 described species, but is represented by only a single species in each of New Zealand and New Caledonia ( Cartwright 2008). One established species, E. concava Cartwright 2008 plus the following new species, E. radonica sp. nov., are here recorded for the NT.
