Ecnomus tropicus Cartwright 1990: 23 View in CoL , figs 69, 70, preoccupied by Ulmer 1905b.

Ecnomus bicornis Cartwright 2011: 12 , replacement name.

Material examined. Northern Territory. 4 males (DC314), Radon Springs , 19 May 2015, P. Dostine ( MVM / FFD) ; 1 male, Amy Ck, 15 Jun 2015, P. Dostine; 1 male, Magela Ck , site 2, 13 Sep 2017 (all FFD) .

Remarks. Ecnomus bicornis was previously widely recorded from the NT, northern WA, and northern Queensland (as E. tropicus Cartwright 1990 ); six males of the species are recorded from a further three sites in the NT.
