Sphecodopsis acuta species group

The group consists of the following five species: S. acuta sp. nov., S. angulata sp. nov., S. magna sp. nov., S. obscura sp. nov. and S. subtilis sp. nov. Characteristics of this group are the following: mesoscutum shiny with dense, fine and shallow punctation ( Figs 17D View Fig , 19D View Fig , 21D View Fig , 23D View Fig , 25D View Fig , 27D View Fig , 29D View Fig , 31D View Fig ); propodeum sparsely covered with short, white hair ( Figs 18A View Fig , 20A View Fig , 22A View Fig , 23E View Fig , 26A View Fig , 27E View Fig , 30A View Fig , 31E View Fig ); female S6 bifid posteriorly, apical notch one to three times as long as its apical width, needle-thin tips, partly apical notch with a small tip distally, shape as shown in Figs 18C View Fig , 20C View Fig , 22C View Fig , 26C View Fig , 30C View Fig ; male gonostylus shorter than gonocoxa ( Figs 24C–D View Fig , 28C View Fig , 32C View Fig ).
