Specimens Examined: Ecuador, Zamora Chinchipe Province, stream ca. 15 km S of El Pangui, 6 Nov. 1997, coll. K. J. Tennessen, 1 mature Ψ; small stream 3.6 km N of Guaguayme Alto; elev. 885m; 3° 52’ 34"S, 78° 53’ 33"W. 21 Aug. 2006, S. M. Bybee and K. J. Tennessen, 1 reared Ψ, in alcohol.

Color pattern similar to male described by Bick & Bick (1988); color in following description is mainly for mature female (reared teneral female is generally paler).

Head. mandibles and maxillae dark brown; labium black medially, lighter gray-brown laterally; labrum dark gray except pale around edges; occiput mottled brown and black; antennal segments 1 and 2 pale tan, remainder black; rear of head tan; width across compound eyes 6.4 mm.

Thorax. dorsum of prothorax mostly pale tan to yellow, light gray on middle lobe and hind lobe; proepimeron black; hind lobe entire, median portion straight in dorsal view ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 a), raised slightly in lateral view ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 b), directed postero-dorsally, antero-ventral corners developed into narrow pale lobes projected ventrally and slightly forward ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 a, b). Pterothorax with middorsal carina black, dorsum of mesepisternum light brown, mesopleural fossa black; mesepimeron with blackish brown stripe 0.9 mm wide; metepisternum with upper pale brown stripe and lower, slightly wider black stripe; metepimeron pale brown on upper portion, incomplete black stripe on lower portion; venter light tan. Coxae gray tan; femora tan with darker apices; tibiae and tarsi tan to brown distally; hind femur 5.75–6.05 mm long. Wings clear to slightly amber, apices in mature female still transparent but more amber; pterostigma 2.7 mm long, surmounting 4 or 5 full cells to part of a sixth cell; postnodal crossveins 27–31 in fore wings, 23–26 in hind wings.

Abdomen. S1 to S7 light brown dorsally with a paler brown, narrow lateral stripe on S3-S7, blackish brown ventro-laterally, S3-S7 also with wide pale basal mark contiguous with narrow pale lateral stripe; S8 black in mature female except dorso-laterally with small faint anterior and posterior pale marks (dorsum of S8 entirely pale in teneral female); S8-S9 intersegmental membrane and 0.9 of S9 dorsum cream gray, S9 black apically and laterally; S10, cerci and paraprocts black brown, apical margin of S10 incurved ventro-laterally; valves of ovipositor and styli black brown, gonapophyses golden brown; styli (0.75–0.79 mm) slightly longer than cercus (0.64–0.69 measured in lateral view along ventral margin).

Measurements (mm). Total length 50–53; hind wing length 36.2–38.0; abdomen length 39.0–42.5; ovipositor length 3.20–3.35.
