REMARK

A. borbonica holotype is a juvenile specimen having the appearance and skeletal organization of an echinasterid individual. Its reticulated abactinal skeleton tends to arrange in longitudinal series as in some Echinaster species. Giving its geographical origin, A. borbonica could belong to the species Echinaster purpureus .
