Genus Acteon Montfort, 1810 View in CoL sensu lato
Remarks. The columella has one fold in the genus Acteon sensu lato, whereas it has two folds in the genus Pupa (Willan & Tagaro in Poppe 2010). Acteon sensu lato is subdivided further based on the radular teeth, but the study of radular teeth is impossible in fossil material, so Acteon sensu lato is used here.
Type species. Voluta tornatilis Linnaeus, 1758 (by original designation); Recent, north Atlantic.
