Records. CeNak: ♀, 05.III.1972, leg. H. W. Koepcke. ZSM : ♀, 260 m, fogging sample ZSM-HYM-FOG180462, 18.IV.2018, leg. A. Höcherl.
Distribution. Brazil, Peru.
Remarks. Rare at the collection site. The two spots at the base of the pronotum, regarded by Giglio-Tos (1927) to be typical for the Guyanese H. ornata ( Stoll, 1813) , are not a valid diagnostic character, as they also occur in H. superba , but are prone to discoloration in alcohol.
