Key to species of the Lepidocyrtus lignorum group

The Lepidocyrtus lignorum group conceived by Mateos (2011) is characterised by the presence of scales on the antennae and legs and by the formula of dorsal macrochaetae R0R1R2/00/0101+3 (dorsal head macrochaeta So present or absent). Up to now the group was formed by L. barbulus Mateos, 2011 , L. instratus Handschin, 1924 , L. juliae Mateos, 2011 , L. lignorum ( Fabricius, 1793) , L. peisonis Traser & Christian, 1992 , L. ruber Schött, 1902 , L. tellecheae Arbea & Jordana, 1990 , L. uzeli Rusek, 1985 , L. vexillosus Loksa & Bogojević, 1967 and L. violaceus ( Geoffroy, 1762) . Presented here is the key Mateos (2011, 2016) created for the Lepidocyrtus lignorum group, including the new species L. traseri sp. nov. and correcting the erratum in the point 11 (point 8 in Mateos 2011) regarding the relative position of macrochaeta F2 to E3 on Abd. IV of L. tellecheae and L. barbulus (Eduardo Mateos pers. com.).
