Description of Cellulomonas persica WW View in CoL View at ENA 28
Cells are Gram-staining-positive, non-pigmented and rod-shaped. Colonies are circular, smooth, convex and light-yellow-colored after 3 days on R2A at 25°C. Positive for nitrate reduction and esculin hydrolysis and βgalactosidase in API 20NE but negative for indole production, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase, urease and gelatinase. D-Glucose, L-arabinose, D-mannitol, D-mannose and D-maltose are utilized. Does not utilize N-acetyl-glucosamine, gluconate, caprate, adipate, malate, citrate and phenylacetate. Strain WW28 (= NIBRBA0000115028) has been isolated from freshwater, Changnyeong, Korea.
