Description of Micromonospora siamensis View in CoL View at ENA 61DPR39
Cells are Gramstainingpositive, nonflagellated and rod-shaped. Colonies are punctiform, digging and orange-colored on R2 A at 25° C. Positive for esculin hydrolysis, gelatinase and βgalactosidase in API 20NE but negative for nitrate reduction, indole production, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase and urease. D-Glucose, D-mannitol, D-mannose, D-maltose and malate are utilized. Does not utilize L-arabinose, N-acetyl-glucosamine, gluconate, caprate, adipate, citrate and phenylacetate. Strain 61DPR39 (= NIBRBA0000114798) has been isolated from freshwater, Daejeon, Korea.
