Eugenia paranahybensis O. Berg (1859: 587) .

Previously known only from Brazil (Govaerts et al. 2008). It was collected from between Chochis—Santiago de Chiquitos (Serranía Chiquitana), growing in campo sujo seco and cerrado sensu stricto between 400–850 m alt. The nearest record of this species from outside Bolivia is D. Macedo 988 (UEC), from the Cuiabá, Mato Grosso ( Brazil). In the list of species of the Flora of Brazil, this species is cited as endemic to Brazil, indicating that it occurs in the states of Goiás, Mato Grosso , and Minas Gerais (Sobral et al. 2013).
