Dipoena fozdoiguacuensis View in CoL new species

( Figures 23–27 View FIGURES 23 – 27 )

Types. Holotype male from Brazil, state of Paraná, Foz do Iguaçu, Parque Nacional do Foz do Iguaçu (25°36’S; 54°25’W), 03–12.III.2002, Equipe Biota col., deposited in MCN 48921. Paratype female, same data as the holotype, deposited in MCN 48922.

Etymology. The specific name is a noun in apposition, taken from the type locality.

Diagnosis. The male of Dipoena fozdoiguacuensis new species resembles that of D. tiro Levi, 1963 (see Levi, 1963: 171, fig. 227) in the median apophysis with a projection ( Fig. 23 View FIGURES 23 – 27 ) and in the pattern and shape of the carapace in lateral view ( Fig. 25 View FIGURES 23 – 27 ), but differs in the projection in D. fozdoiguacuensis more ventrally positioned and the larger embolus ( Fig. 23 View FIGURES 23 – 27 ). The female of Dipoena fozdoiguacuensis is close to D. tiro Levi, 1963 (see Levi, 1963: 171, fig. 225, 226), but differs from it in the pattern and shape of the epigynum in ventral view, by circular copulatory opening ( Fig. 26 View FIGURES 23 – 27 ) and in the circular first spermathecae ( Fig. 27 View FIGURES 23 – 27 ).
