Dipoena santaritadopassaquatrensis  new species

( Figures 14–18View FIGURES 14 – 18)

Types. Holotype male from Brazil, state of São Paulo, Santa Rita do Passa Quatro, Estação Experimental de Santa Rita do Passa Quatro (21 ° 44 ’S; 47 ° 29 ’W), 24.III. 2002, Equipe Biota col., deposited in MCN 48881. Paratype female, same data as the holotype, deposited in MCN 48882.

Etymology. The specific name is a noun in apposition, taken from the type locality.

Diagnosis. The male of Dipoena santaritadopassaquatrensis  new species resembles that of D. plaumanni Levi, 1963  (see Levi, 1963: 155, figs. 99–100, 104) in the projection in tegulum ( Fig. 14View FIGURES 14 – 18), but differs in the trajectory of the sperm duct in the tegulum, closer to the projection in tegulum ( Fig. 14View FIGURES 14 – 18) and in the pattern and shape of the carapace in lateral view, higher ( Fig. 16View FIGURES 14 – 18). The female of Dipoena santaritadopassaquatrensis  is close to D. plaumanni  (see Levi, 1963: 155, figs. 101, 102) in the presence of two pairs of rounded spermathecae, first spermathecae developed ( Figs. 17, 18View FIGURES 14 – 18), but it differs from the latter species by having the less second spermathecae developed and the copulatory openings more distant from the first spermathecae ( Fig. 18View FIGURES 14 – 18).
