Selinus simplicipes Gebien, 1910: 374 .— Gebien 1938: 298.

Quadrideres simplicipes ( Gebien, 1910) .— Koch 1956: 205; Iwan 1990: 432, 2002a: 96, 2002b: 296; Kamiński 2013a: 86.

Type material. During its description Gebien (1910) did not selected a holotype specimen. Four individuals from the type series were available, thus a lectotype designation is needed to fix the taxonomic status of the species.

Lectotype, male ( ZMHB): “Kilimandjaro / Sjöstedt. 1905–6”, “ Type ”, “96203”, “ 8 sept ”. Paralectotypes, female ( ZMHB): same data as holotype; male and female ( MNHN): “Kilimandjaro / Sjöstedt. 1905–6”, “aug.”, “Museum Paris / Kilimandjaro et Mérou / Expedit. Suédoise / Y. Sjostedt 1912”.

Other studied material: 4 males and 4 females ( HNHM): “Moschi / 1905.VII.”, “Africa pr. / Katona”, “ modestus / Lesne / det. dr. Kaszab”; 5 males and 7 females ( MNHN): “Museum Paris / Kilimandjaro / Zone des cultures / Kiléma 1400–1500 M. / Ch. Alluaud 1909”; male and female ( MNHN): “Museum Paris / Afrique Orient. All / Kilimandjaro / Kibosho / Ch. Alluaud 1904; ”female ( ZMHB): “Kilimandscharo / 1300–1700 m / Volkens”.

Morphological data. Because the redescription of this species made by Koch (1956) is clear and consistent with the data obtained in this study the morphology of this species was not redescribed.

Distribution. This species has been collected in the following ecoregions of the East Africa ( Tanzania): East African montane forests and Southern Acacia -Commiphora bushlands and thickets ( Fig. 12, 13 View FIGURES 12 – 13 ).
