Subgenus Parotostigmus Pocock, 1896

Type species. Branchiostoma scabricauda Humbert & Saussure, 1870 (by subsequent designation of Attems, 1928).

Range. Central and South Аmerica, including Caribbean; North-East, East, South and West-Central Tropical Аfrica.
