Comments. Ten species of Leptusa are known from GSMNP. Despite the revision by Park et al. (2010) some specimens could only be reliably identified to genus. Range: eastern United States. Habitat: forest leaf litter, rotten wood. Collection Method: sifting leaf litter (with Berlese funnel), and col- lected from dead wood with emergence chamber. Biology: unknown. Ferro et al. (2012a): indifferent to substrate, forest type and season. Present Study: not significantly abundant in any subsamples. This is almost certainly a reflection of the habits of multiple species represented by these specimens. References: Blatchley 1910; Downie and Arnett 1996; Newton et al. 2001; Park et al. 2010.
