Lectotype (designated by Boufford 1990):— CHINA. Guizhou: Guiding Xian, Pingfa, “Yang-Kia-Tchong,” 29 July 1905, Cavalerie 2438 ( P, isolectotypes P01819422 digital image, P01819424 digital image, K000742621 !, K000742622 !).

Distribution: —S Hengduan, N Hengduan.

Note: —This is a distinctive species, by its crowded, spirally arranged leaves.
