Male. Unknown.

Remarks. Neophyllobius zolfigolii closely resembles N. persiaensis Khanjani & Ueckermann, 2002 but differs from the latter by: (1) tibiae setal formulae 9(oi)-9(oi)-8(oi)-7(oi) vs. 9(oi)-8(oi)-8(oi)-7(oi), (2) tarsi 10(ω)- 9(ω)-8-8 vs. 9(ω)-9(ω)-7-8, (3) length of dorsal setae c2 83, d1 110, d2 50, e1 105 and f1 75 vs. c2 103, d1 143, d2 69, e1 116 and f1 100 in N. persiaensis , (4) genual setae of legs II-IV 101, 151 and 224, vs. 123, 185 and 262. The comparison of dimensions of dorsal and genual setae of the all Iranian species is given in Table 2 View TABLE 2 .

Etymology. This species is named in honor of Prof. Mohammad Ali Zolfigol, President of Bu-Ali Sina University, Hamedan, Iran for his assistance in equipping of the Laboratory of Acarology of Bu-Ali Sina University in the last two years.

Type materials. Holotype female and two paratype females were collected from Nahavad, Hamedan province, under soil of wild rose bushes (48° 22 ' 35'' N, 46° 02' 24'' E, 1644 m a.s.l.), 17 January, 2010, Bahman Asali Fayaz.

The type materials are preserved as slide mounted specimens and the holotype female and one paratype are deposited in the Acari Collection of the Department of Plant Protection, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bu-Ali Sina, Hamedan, Iran and the other paratype female is deposited in the Arachnida Collection of ARC-Plant Protection Research Institute, Pretoria, South Africa.
