Diagnosis. Dark brown to black, with yellow hairs on the sternites.

Redescription. Female (holotype). Head. Frons dark brown with dark brown to black hairs; yellow pollinosity best seen in dorsal view. Frontal callus as broad as frons, dark brown, shiny. Subcallus dark brown with silver pollinosity, best seen in dorsal view; base of the antenna with yellow pollinosity. Scape and pedicel dark brown with black hairs. Flagellum dark brown with golden pollinosity. Face and parafacia dark brown, with dark brown hairs and silver pollinosity, best seen in dorsal view. Gena and postgena dark brown, with sparse silver pollinosity and dark brown hairs. Palpus long, inflated, dark brown with dense and long dark brown hairs.

Thorax. Scutum and scutellum dark brown to black, with silver pollinosity and black hairs. Postpronotal lobe dark brown, with white hairs proximally and black hairs distally. Notopleuron, anepisternum, anepimeron and katatergite dark brown with dark brown to black hairs; katepisternum dark brown with silver pollinosity and dark brown to black hairs; katepimeron dark brown with silver pollinosity. Leg dark brown to black, except for reddish hairs on the ventral side of the tarsus. Wing brown, with hyaline apex; cell la and ventral part of cell a1 lighter; pterostigma brown; venation brown. Halter brown.

Abdomen. Tergites black with dense dark brown to black hairs. Sternites black with dark brown to black hairs in middle and yellow hairs laterally.

Measurements. (n = 1, holotype) Body length: 16.28mm. Wing length: 15mm. Frontal index: 4.4. Divergence index: 1.57.

Male: unknown.

Type-locality. Brazil (São Paulo: Campos do Jordão: Homem Morto).

Distribution. Brazil (São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro).
