Recently, García & Santos-Silva (2022) described Psyrassa wappesi View in CoL from Mexico.
However, the name is a junior homonym of Psyrassa wappesi Chemsak & Noguera, 1997 , a species considered as junior synonym of Aneflomorpha giesberti Chemsak & Linsley, 1975 by Toledo (2005). Although in the synonym, P. wappesi Chemsak & Noguera is an available name (ICZN 1999: 23.3.6). Therefore, P. wappesi García & Santos-Silva needs a replacement name (ICZN: 53.3).
To eliminate the homonymy, we are replacing the junior homonym with Psyrassa linae nom. nov.
