Diagnostic characters. The species can be identified by the following combination of characters: combs of mid- and hind tibiae with single spur; anal point broadened apically; superior volsella pediform with toe projecting mesally and with 6 strong apical setae.
Remarks. Wang and Ji (2003) recorded P. camptolabis from Fujian Province, China. However, re-examination of the material show that it actually is a new species, P. digitum sp. n., described below.
Distribution. The species has a Holarctic distribution. In the Sino-Indian region, the species is widespread in Japan.
