Type material: Holotype male (BDN no. 05293), CHINA: Fujian Province, Fuzhou City, Wulongjiang River, 22.iv.1993, light trap, X. Wang. Paratypes: 6 males, Fujian Province, Fuzhou, Fujian Agriculture College campus, 22.iv.1993, light trap, X. Wang; 2 males, Fujian Province, Fuzhou City, bank of Wulongjiang River, 22.iv.1993, sweep net, X. Wang; 1 male, Fujian Province, Fuzhou City, Jinshan Town, 22.iv.1993, light trap, W. Bu. (BDN nos 05288; 05279; 25280; 05285; 05294; 05221; 05290; 05287; 05281).
Diagnostic characters. The species differs from other Paracladopelma species by having the anal point swollen apically, dorsal lobe of superior volsella membranous and entirely bare, and the gonostylus with digitiform projection at apex.
Etymology. From Latin digitus, finger, referring to the gonostylus having a digitiform projection at apex.
Male (n = 10, unless otherwise stated). Total length 2.45–2.93, 2.67 mm. Wing length 1.20–1.30, 1.27 mm. Total length / wing length 2.00–2.23, 2.11. Wing length / length of profemur 2.46–2.65, 2.54.
Coloration. Thorax brown to yellowish brown, vittae brown to dark brown, anterior 1/4 of preepisternum, median anepisternum, and anterior 1/3 of postnotum brown. Distal 1/4 of femur and tibia of foreleg dark brown, the remainder yellowish green to brown; mid- and hind legs yellowish green to yellowish brown. Abdomen yellowish green to yellowish brown.
Head. AR 1.66–1.86, 1.77. Ultimate flagellomere 480–560, 521 Μm long. Frontal tubercles rounded, 3–5, 4 Μm in diameter. Temporal setae 7–10, 8 (9) including 2–3, 2 inner verticals, 4–6, 5 outer verticals, postorbitals absent. Clypeus with 7–10, 9 setae. Tentorium 85–108, 96 Μm long, 18–36, 24 Μm wide. Palpomere lengths (in Μm): 25–28, 25; 28–33, 30; 75–83, 78; 85–93, 90; 132–145, 138. Palpomere 5/3 1.65–1.93, 1.77.
Thorax. Antepronotals absent, dorsocentrals 4–7, 6 (9), acrostichals 3–4, 4 (9), prealars 3. Scutellum with 2–5, 4 setae.
Wing ( Fig. 22 View FIGURES 22 – 26 ). VR 1.20–1.27, 1.18. Brachiolum with 1–2, 1 (8) seta; R with 1–2, 1 at base; R1 bare; R4+5 with 2 setae at apex. Squama with 0–1 seta.
Legs. Foretibia with 2 subapical setae, 70–85, 74 Μm and 58–67, 65 Μm long; spurs of midtibia 10–15, 13 Μm and 13–18, 15 Μm long, comb with 15–22, 19 teeth, 7–8, 8 Μm long; spurs of hind tibia 10–15, 13 Μm and 14–18, 16 Μm long, comb with 30–38, 34 teeth, 8–10, 9 Μm long. Mid ta1 with 5–8, 7 (9) sensilla chaetica; hind ta1 with 2–6, 4 (9) sensilla chaetica. Lengths and proportions of legs as in Table 5 View TABLE 5 .
Hypopygium ( Figs 23–26 View FIGURES 22 – 26 ). Tergite IX with 6–10, 8 setae at base of anal point. Laterosternite IX with 2–4, 2 setae. Anal point parallel-sided, strongly broadened apically, 36–45, 40 Μm long, 5–8, 5 Μm wide at base, 7– 10, 9 (7) Μm wide at apex. Anal tergite bands fused in the middle, V-shaped. Phallapodeme 58–78, 64 Μm long. Transverse sternapodeme 25–38, 30 Μm long. Superior volsella ( Figs 25–26 View FIGURES 22 – 26 ) pad-like to pediform, composed of dorsal membranous bare lobe and setigerous ventral lobe with 2 setae and numerous microtrichia covering all surfaces. Inferior volsella small, apex slightly pointed and covered with microtrichia. Gonocoxite 72–100, 84 Μm long, inner margin with 3–4, 4 strong setae. Gonostylus 130–147, 140 Μm long, inner margin curved, widest in distal 1/4, and with digitiform projection at apex. HR 0.55–0.72, 0.60; HV 1.80–2.07, 1.92.
Distribution. The species was collected in Fujian Province, China.
