Diagnosis. Libythea geoffroyi eborinus is similar other subspecies of L. geoffroyi but differs in that the forewing dorsum of male has a bright white subapical band from Rs 3 + Rs 4 to M 3. Forewing of female with a broad white band from costa to M 3, a square white mark in the discal cell, and a large white mark spanning from M 3 to 1A + 2A.

Low, L. g. eborinus Samson Holotype ( BMNH). ALLOTYPE: 1♀, Solomon Islands, Makira (San Cristobal), Wai-wai, IX-1963, W. R. M. Low, L. g. ebornus paratype (yellow round label) / B. Solomon Islands, San Cristobal, Wai Wai, IX-1963, W. R. M. Low / Libythea geoffroyi Godt. Eborinus Samson. Allotype Female Det. C. P. J. Samson 1978 ( BMNH).

Distribution. Solomon Islands: San Cristobal.

Remarks. Samson (1980) described this subspecies from a male and female specimen, which he designated the holotype and allotype respectively.
