One alate vivipara and two oviparae of Myzus polaris were collected on Wrangel Island in 2006 ( Stekolshchikov & Khruleva 2014). In 2015, the species was again recorded in the central and southern parts of the island, but in other sites. It was collected in rather dry biotopes with early snowmelt ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 , 15 View FIGURE 15 ). The fact that, in the middle of summer, only alate viviparous females were collected in number suggests that this morph predominates in the second generation of the M. polaris life cycle.
Material. Mineeva Mountains: dry hillock with a spotted moss-willow-forb-grassy cover in the base of the slope of the southern exposure (70° 59.163 N, 179° 31.040 W), 19.vii.2015, sweeping, 26 al. The upper reaches of the Neizvestnaya River: an assemblage of herbs and sedges on a dry rubbly edge of a south-facing river terrace (71° 12.970 N, 179° 19.387 W), 12–29.vii.2015, pitfall trap, 1 al.
