Ampullaria palustris Morelet, 1864: 158 View in CoL . Type material — syntypes: NHMUK 1893.2.4.1712-1715 (4 spms.). Type locality —“in lacu Ebrie Senegalensi”. Distribution — Ivory Coast ( Pilsbry & Bequaert 1927: 187). Remarks. Valid species, teste G.B. Sowerby III (1910: 61, 1916: 68) and Pilsbry & Bequaert (1927: 187).

Lanistes bolteni View in CoL variété perfecta Pallary, 1909: 62. Type material — syntypes: MCZ 109235 (2 spms.), RBINS MT 2037 (2 spms.) [none found in MNHN or NHMUK (cf. Dance 1986: 221)]. Type locality —“l’Égypte” [in publication title].

Remarks. Synonym of carinata Olivier , teste Pilsbry & Bequaert (1927: 186).
